Under Tracy's expert supervision, I first tacked the four corners of the bar stock. It was critical that this piece remain perfectly square.
Next, I ran a nice, thick bead all the way around the bar stock. This was the most current flowed through my Miller 180 Autoset welder. Man, does it feel powerful. It puts off quite a buzz.
Here I am shooting sparks at my gas can. That was to avoid shooting sparks at the gunpowder on the other side of the garage.
Gunpowder is next to the orange hose.
Tracy actually did more grinding than I did. The gindage revealed a solid weld.
